For the purpose of the Privacy Policy, “personal information” shall have the meaning of “personal data” as referred to in the Turkish Data Protection Law No. 6698.
What Information We Collect
Information that you provide
We may collect your government-issued ID or other identity documents (e.g., your passport) to help us meet our compliance and legal obligations.
We may collect additional information and documents (e.g., the Occupational Certificate of Activity (Mesleki Faaliyet Belgesi in Turkish), the Tradesman and Craftsman Certificate of Registry (Esnaf ve Sanatkâr Sicil Tasdiknamesi in Turkish), the Trade Registry Gazette (Ticaret Sicili Gazetesi in Turkish) and/or the Certificate of Activity (Faaliyet Belgesi in Turkish)) from you to verify your registration information, and we may also collect your Registered Email Address (Kayıtlı Elektronik Posta Adresi (KEP adresi) in Turkish) to verify your identity, to the extent applicable.
However, in any case, we do not utilize facial recognition technology to verify your identity, and therefore Our Face Verification Processing notice is not applicable to you.
Legal Basis
The legal basis for the processing and transfer of your personal information (including personal information collected through cookies and similar technologies) provided in the Privacy Policy is as follows:
Performance of a contract. We process (including using essential cookies to process) your personal information as necessary to perform the contracts you enter into with us (such as the Temu Seller Services Agreement) when you register for, access or use our Service. This includes when we use your personal information to develop, improve, support, and provide the Service, allowing you to create, maintain and manage your account and use the Service.
Legitimate interests. We use your personal information where necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interest pursued by us or third parties and/or our customers. This includes when we optimize features, analyse performance metrics, fix errors, use essential cookies and improve the Service and our business, and detect and prevent fraud and abuse in order to protect the security of our customers, Sellers, ourselves, or others.
Your consent. We process your personal information when you have given us your prior consent for a specific purpose that we communicate to you. When you consent to our processing your personal information for a specified purpose, you may withdraw your consent at any time, and we will stop processing your data for that purpose. Your withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal (please note, however, that we may still be entitled to process your personal information if we have another legal basis other than consent for doing so).
Compliance with a legal obligation and establishment, use or protection of a right. We may use your personal information where it is necessary for compliance purposes and to comply with the applicable laws, lawful requests, and legal processes (e.g., responding to subpoenas or requests from government or regulatory authorities, or where there is a mandatory duty to report criminal offences); to protect our, your, and others' rights, privacy, safety, or property (including the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims); to audit internal processes to ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements and our internal policies; to enforce the terms and conditions that govern the Service; to prevent, identify, investigate, and deter fraudulent, harmful, unauthorised, unethical, or illegal activities, including cyberattacks and identity theft.

Your Rights
In addition to the rights provided in the “Your Rights and Choices” section of the Privacy Policy and pursuant to Article 11 of the Turkish Data Protection Law No. 6698, in respect of your personal information processed by Temu, and to the extent Temu is processing your personal information as a data controller, you have the right to:
a. learn whether any of your personal information is subject to processing;
b. request information regarding the processing activities;
c. learn the purposes of the processing and whether or not it is used in compliance with the purposes intended;
d. know the third parties within or outside the country, to whom your personal information is transferred;
e. request correction of incomplete or inaccurate personal information;
f. request deletion or destruction of your personal information under the conditions set forth in Article 7 of the Turkish Data Protection Law No. 6698;
g. ask for notification to the third parties to whom your personal information has been transferred about the correction, deletion and/or destruction of your personal data pursuant to the above-mentioned clauses (e) and (f);
h. object to negative consequences which arise as a result of the analysis of your personal information processed solely by automatic means; and
i. claim compensation for damage arising from our unlawful processing of your personal information.

We will endeavor to resolve your requests as soon as possible according to the nature of your request and in any case, within thirty (30) days - as required by Turkish Data Protection Law No. 6698.
